CCD Foundation Impact Newsletter | May 2021
Congratulations, Graduates!
Graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021 participated in another first for CCD, drive-through graduation. Students, with their family and friends, celebrated their achievements in a festive atmosphere complete with DJ and several swag stations.
The CCD Foundation was pleased to host the Alumni Association station. Two of our Foundation Board members, Mary Beth Susman and Frank Wentworth (‘03), helped to welcome these newest members to the Alumni Association.
Thank you to our partner, COMCAST
Thanks to a special arrangement with COMCAST, the CCD Foundation is offering qualified May 2021 CCD graduates free internet for six months to support them as they launch the next phase of their journey. In addition to this offer, students joining the Alumni Association are welcomed with a variety of benefits including continued access to CCD Career and Transfer Success’s Purple Briefcase, an alumni-only newsletter, and invitations to special events!

Spotlight: Ben Rodriguez, CCD Graduate!
For those who attended the 2021 CCD Foundation Oxygen for Education Scholarship Breakfast, you’ll remember meeting this wonderful student. Ben’s story is like so many of our students, a large proportion of whom college wouldn’t be possible without scholarship assistance and the support of our donors.
Ben received a $2,000 scholarship as the result of a partnership between the CCD Foundation and the Adams County Education Consortium (ACEC) and earned an AAS in Fabrication Welding.
Congratulations to Ben for this outstanding achievement! We are so proud of you and we look forward to following your journey!
To all of our graduates – and newest alumni – we wish you continued success! Once a CityHawk, Always a City Hawk! #CityHawkPROUD
