Programs of Study

The multimedia graphic design program gives you a foundation in visual design. You will learn to analyze, plan, and create visual solutions for various communication projects.

This program provides a great opportunity to gain training in creative problem-solving, graphic design, digital media, illustration, computer-aided design, production, and information technology. You will learn various creative and technical design skills that will enable you to transfer to a four-year institution or gain an entry-level position in the profession. Choose from exciting courses such as the Adobe Creative Suite, Web Design, and Design and Concept to pursue your Associate of Applied Science degree or certificate.

Academic Support

CCD’s visual arts and multimedia graphic design programs are proud to offer open studio time.

Open studio allows you to work outside of your studio class times on projects (two-, three- and four-dimensional alike). We offer five different open studios: Painting, Drawing, 2-D and 3-D Design, Photography Lab, and a Multimedia Design Lab.

Open studios are staffed by experienced art and graphic design students who are there to support your learning.

Dates and times vary each semester, please contact the art department for details.

Academic support is also provided through the Excel Zone.

Available Online

CCD Online offers fully online certificates and degrees, and individual online courses to help match your busy schedule. This program offers 30 percent of its certificate and 45 percent of its degree either online or through a hybrid program.

Your first step is to see if online learning is right for you. Online and hybrid environments offer much more flexibility but require more self-direction and self-discipline. Certain work habits, learning styles and skills contribute to a successful online or hybrid learning experience.
