Each semester, CCD students and faculty perform in the King Center on the Auraria Campus, highlighting their incredible talent. Here are just a few of the performances from previous semesters.
The CCD Choir performs "Domine Fili Unigenite" from Vivaldi's Gloria, Professor Megan Buness conducting
The pianist offered to share some Vivaldi when we reached that period of history in Music Appreciation. She played this Domine Fili Unigenite. The choir—being flexible and fast learners—welcomed her and this new piece enthusiastically.
CCD student Nikos Vamvaketis performs "I Wanna Be a Producer" from Mel Brooks' musical The Producers.
Student Nikos Vamvaketis acted and sang in CCD's first musical. He also won the Zeta Zeta’s chapter of Delta Omicron’s Music Scholarship. This scholarship was used to fund his application and accompanist fees for the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter Auditions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He was accepted to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy to study musical theater through their two-year conservatory program in New York City.
CCD guitar student Eman Alexander performing a duet of Joseph Kosma's "Autumn Leaves" with his instructor, Professor Patrick Sutton.
