Do I need to take all my prerequisites at Community College of Denver?
No, prerequisites can be taken at any accredited college or university.  In Colorado, community colleges adhere to common course numbering.  Therefore, BIO 201 is the same at all community colleges in Colorado.  Prerequisites taken at other colleges or universities will be reviewed to determine compatibility.  If you have taken prerequisite courses out-of-state, it is recommended that you have them evaluated for equivalency.  For evaluation, fax (330-365-8330) or email (traci.snyder@ccd.edu) the course description for each course you want evaluated.

What if the school I am attending does not offer CHE 109?
Chemistry 109 is a General, Organic and BioChemistry hybrid course specifically designed for students in health sciences.  The alternative would be to take two consecutive semesters of Chemistry:  one semester of general college chemistry and one semester of inorganic and organic chemistry.  In Colorado, Chemistry 101 & 102 or 111 & 112 will compensate for Chemistry 109.
