- The online program is designed for students who are self-motivated and self-disciplined but cannot attend the on campus program.
- Students will use class notes from the internet and textbooks for the didactic portion of the class. Students will participate in online class discussions and meet regularly with faculty by email.
- Many methods of evaluation of clinical skills will be used including on-site evaluation by faculty and mentors, product evaluation (i.e., radiographs and blood slides, etc. done by the student), videotaping, e-mail assignments, task list check off, visits by college faculty, and student journals. Students may be required to meet at the Lowry campus for labs or tests.
- The time to complete the program will vary greatly depending on how many classes you take per semester. If you have completed all of your prerequisites and general education, you could complete the program in 2 to 4 years.
- Students must have access to a computer and have internet access to complete online assignments.
- Admission to the Community College of Denver and acceptance into the Veterinary Technology Program is required.
- To apply, attend an advisory meeting the second Tuesday of every month at 4:00 at the Lowry campus Bldg. 849.
