Students are taught basic Nursing skills in the Fundamentals Course. The Lab component of this course is taught in the Nursing Skills Lab. The Skills Lab is a safe area to practice basic skills on patient mannequins prior to caring for actual patients in the clinical setting.  Students receive experiential and individualized instruction to help them become accurate and safe in performing patient care. The Nursing Skills Lab has sixteen hours of open lab per week for the students to practice and have their skills validated by faculty.
