CCD Center for Health Sciences at Lowry offers nursing students many resources in building their skills.
Some of the resources are designed into the nursing curriculum such as the skills lab where students practice their assessments and procedures before going to clinical.
The Simulation lab places students in life like scenarios on a manikin that can be programmed to exhibit vitals, symptoms, and illnesses.
Nursing students have access to an on-site tutoring lab staffed by college staff and current nursing students to provide course review, study skills, and computerized tutorial software.
Before students graduate they are pared with an online ATI tutor, who prepares an NCLEX review with the student. Each student will have their own personalized review depending on their strengths and weakness in the nursing curriculum.
