The nursing tutoring lab provides academic assistance in various areas for nursing students. Student may receive assistance in such areas as medical math skills, specific nursing course, test taking strategies, time management, and stress reduction.
During the semester tutoring is available in the mornings, during lunch and in the afternoons. The tutors range in backgrounds and various areas of expertise of English writing skills, medical calculations, and specific nursing course work.
Reference books are in easy reach. These include dosage workbooks, medication reference, current and past course books, NCLEX test reviews, and nursing study strategies.
The lab has 7 computer stations that houses computer aided instruction materials and tutorials.
All students must sign in with the tutors upon entering the lab and when checking out reference books and materials. No food or drink is allowed in the lab and cell phones must be turned off.
