Here at CCD we use ATI in a variety of ways. Incoming PN and ADN students take the TEAS which is a basic skills test all nursing students take during their first week in the program. The TEAS exam consists of four sections, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and English and Language Usage. The exam tests for basic concepts and theories in each area.
This is a great assessment tool for you to use to see your areas of weakness and strength upon entering the nursing program. You will see which areas you need to work on to be successful in the program.
Secondly, ATI gives you a wide variety of study tools not only for preparing you for the NCLEX®, but also for helping you build the knowledge base you are going to need throughout your nursing career.
