Community College of Denver Center for Health Sciences at Lowry strives to promote and facilitate the student’s development as a professional nurse. Students can choose the Practical Nursing certificate (PN), Associated of Applied Science Degree Nursing (ADN) and Advanced Placement (PN to RN Bridge).
Learning takes place in small class size environments. Each student has a rich cultural background enhancing the quality of the nursing program.
The nursing laboratory facilities include a skills lab, as well as, a simulation lab with state-of-the-art interactive simulation mannequins and software.
The nursing faculty range in experiences and nursing backgrounds allowing students a wide spectrum during their learning in the nursing program. Faculty facilitates learning labs, implements new learning methods and creates a caring environment for students.
The CCD Nursing program is transitioning to program of excellence for new students. A program of excellence focuses on building higher admission standards, quality of instruction in the classroom, and graduating students with the knowledge, skills and abilities employers want.
