It is very common for CCD students to be undecided about their academic major or program. Even if you have selected a major, you may not know what kinds of jobs would be a good fit for you. The Career Development Center has a variety of career assessments that will help you make sense of your interests, abilities, and personality in order to make the best career and major choice for YOU!
Choices CIC-Advancer: This FREE career assessment helps to inventory your level of interest in different career clusters. The assessment results connects you to information and videos on career and academic programs that may fit our level of interest. Students can take use the Choices CIC-Advancer individually without the Career Development Center.
Strong Interest Inventory: The Strong will help to measure your level of interest among a broad range of occupations, work and leisure activities, and academic majors. Please contact the Career Development Center to take the Strong and to schedule a follow-up appointment for an interpretation of your assessment results.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): The MBTI is the most trusted and widely used assessment in the world for understanding personality and uncovering new ways to work and interact with others. This assessment is particularly helpful if you want to learn about your personality and how it relates to different career opportunities.
