You must pay your tuition and fees ON or BEFORE the payment deadline stated on your registration. If you do not pay by that date, your name will be dropped from your registered classes. Once dropped, you must pay your tuition and fees, in full, when you reregister. You are not guaranteed placement when you reregister, and you cannot attend class until you finalize payment.
In addition to standard tuition, the college collects a mandatory $5.35 per credit hour instructional program fee for high- and medium-cost classes. Select courses also charge a special instructional fee (see listings in the current course schedule). CCD charges set fees to fund student activities, Student Government, the RTD Bus Pass program, PER Events Center, Tivoli Student Union, Child Care Center and the classroom lounge areas. These fees are not collected from students at CCD’s branch campuses. Fees are not assessed for online courses. Special fees are not refundable.

Promissory Notes
The information you provide on your admission application tells us if you are a resident or non-resident of the state of Colorado for tuition purposes. To be a resident, you must have lived in Colorado for 365 days prior to the first day of classes for the term in which you wish to enroll, and you must show that you intend to make Colorado your permanent home. If you are under the age of 23, your parent’s or legal guardian’s information on the application will determine your residency classification. Additionally:
- Students under the age of 23 who are independent must complete an Emancipation Document to have their own address information used for classification.
- Active-duty military or a dependent of an active-duty military service member assigned to a Permanent Change of Station in Colorado may be eligible for in-state tuition rates. Contact your military base Education Office for documentation.
- For more information, visit the Colorado Department of Higher Education's website or contact the Admissions, Registration & Records Office. All petitions for in-state tuition must be received by Census Date for the semeseter in progress.
- View CCD's tuition and fees chart (below).
Students may receive a 100 percent refund of tuition and fees (except for non-refundable and registration fees) through the census date. Please see calendar of open-entry drop dates. CCD will not give refunds or financial credits after the census date. Drop forms are available in Enrollment Services.
The college will mail tuition refund checks to students who are eligible for refunds beginning the fourth week of classes. Please check your class schedule for any amount owed to the college, and direct questions about your account balance to the cashier.
