As the Instructional Specialist with the Denver Transfer Initiative, I wish to confer with interested faculty members about issues concerning (but not limited to):
* course and/or assignment organization, structure and design
* presentation and/or activity delivery implementation strategies
* identifying, setting and assessing learning goals and outcomes (troubleshooting)
* teaching ideas using learner-centered technology such as: Smart Classroom Tools, Effective Power Point, Audio/Video usage, Black Board, Web 2.0 Enhancements, Blogs, Social Networking, Web Broadcasts and more
Our goal at DTI is to provide assistance for faculty members seeking to implement instructional strategies and technologies to increase student motivation, engagement and success, especially for our non-traditional and underprepared students. I am happy to attend one of your classes and provide informal, non-judgmental and helpful feedback concerning any of the above or other issues related to education, instruction and classroom environment. I also have a great deal of material related to effective teaching if you are interested. In addition, DTI is happy to loan lap tops if you wish to use instructional technology in your classes.
