CCD Online courses are developed and taught by CCD faculty. Student/instructor contact is by phone, mail and email. Online courses have specific beginning and ending dates. Week by week, learners cover assigned material. On a day-to-day basis, learners retain control over their schedules; you don't need to be at your computer at a specific time on a specific day. Class participation and the exchange of ideas via discussions and email are the foundation pieces for the CCD Online Learning program; although your classmates and professors may be geographically remote, all will be well-connected.
Students must have access to a computer, an Internet Service Provider, an e-mail account with enough storage, and a current version of Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator. (Note: The browser that comes with AOL, MSN and other portals do not work properly with the online course environment. They must be minimized and run in the background, while you open a browser from the desktop or Start menu.)
Tuition
Tuition for residents for online classes is $143.20 per credit hour. Tuition for non-residents for online classes is $235.20 per credit hour. See the current Tuition and Fee Page for more information.
