There is no extra cost for these labs. It is mandatory for online BIO 201 and 202 students to do these labs. The students may have to install flash player or shock wave in their computers. These programs are free to download. Students also use lab manuals (see the booklist) to complete some lab assignments.

BIO 204
BIO 204 students complete a virtual lab with a CD called VU Micro (which stands for Virtual Unknown-Microbiology).Software, Version 3.11 by Intuitive Systems: ISBN: 0967155029. The CD is PC compatible only.  Go directly to the website: http://www.virtualunknown.com/

CHE 109

does not have a lab.

CHE 101

CHE 111
Students in CHE 111 will be purchasing Model ChemLab Standard software from www. modelscience.com for $32.99.

CHE 112
Students in CHE 112 will be purchasing a PIN from www.latenitelabs.com. Students will need to purchase a PIN number directly from Latenitelabs.com at 1-800-262-0518. The Auraria Bookstore DOES NOT sell PINs for the lab. This PIN will give students access to the online lab materials.

CHE 112 (continued)
Prior to the start of class, students should check out their computer's capacity for using these online labs. Below are instructions:

Step One: For the system-requirements test, students should visit www.latenitelabs.com and simply follow the link on the right side of the screen to the System Requirements page. They can then run the System Test to make sure that their PC is configured properly to run our labs. As a service, our test also provides recommendation how to adjust various settings to properly accommodate LateNite Labs.

Step Two: Students should receive a "course code" from the instructor on the first day of class. This should be found in a prominent place within the course.

Step Three: Upon receiving a PIN and the "course code," students should visit www.latenitelabs.com
again and click on the link on the right side of the page which says "Register for REACTOR"
