FAQ Answers:

Why should I attend orientation?

Studies show students who attned orientation programs and other first year programming like the College 101 class experience more success in college.  College is an investment of time and money--you want to get the most you can out of this experience!  Orientation sessions are designed to provide you with valuable information while giving you an opportunity to connect with staff, faculty, and other students – current and new.  We will visit the Technology lab, the Library, the Rec Center and other important services on campus while engaging in activities that help you get to know each other, the campus, and how to be successful here.  You will learn about services available to CCD students, resources on the Auraria campus, ways to get involved, where to park, how to get a student ID, and more.  Plus, get your general questions answered and receive essential informational handouts, lunch and an orientation t-shirt!

Is there a cost to attend orientation?

Orientation itself is free.  You will need to bring $10 to receive a lunch coupon for our food court and an orientation t-shirt.  These are optional.  You will receive other complimentray items and information as part of the event.

Do I need to bring anything?

Bring your Student ID number!  Also, for many of the services at CCD and the Auraria Campus, a picture ID is required.  Bring forms of payment if you plan on paying your bill or purchasing any items, such as student ID, books, clothing, etc.  Wear comfortable shoes for the walking tour of campus.  And, of course, bring your questions!
