Agency Profile

Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a TRIO program 100% federally funded through the Department of Education, Title IV Higher Education Act. Administered through the Community College of Denver serving the six county metropolitan areas since 1974. Our services includes information on accessing high education  planning and assisting with the completion of the admissions and financial aid applications, career counseling along with career testing and dissemination of private scholarship sources/information to low income/first generation adults, 19 and older

Population

• Adults age 19 or older
• Residents of the following six counties:
  • Adams
  • Arapahoe
  • Boulder
  • Broomfield
  • Denver
  • Jefferson

Eligibility

EOC services are free and available to individuals who:

• are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens
• are low Income and/or are the first in their family to attend college
• are interested in pursuing a GED, vocational training, certificate program or 4 year college degree
• do not yet have a bachelor’s degree
