Community College of Denver New Math and Science Dean

Dr. Heidi Loshbaugh will be joining the Community College of Denver (CCD) as Dean, Center for Math and Science on July 6, 2011.  Dr. Loshbaugh holds a doctorate in American Literature from the University of Denver and is currently a research associate with a National Science Foundation project at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Prior experience includes serving as Special Advisor for Diversity for the President at Colorado School of Mines, teaching at Colorado School of Mines and serving as Assistant Research Professor with a National Science Foundation Project. An active participant in the Denver community, Loshbaugh has chaired the Colorado Network for Women Leaders, was the Director of the Academic Management Institute, and served on various boards and committees for the City of Denver. 

The Center for Math & Science offers courses in the areas of Math and Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Pre-aerospace Engineering and Physics. Many degrees will transfer seamlessly to a 4-year college or university.
